Hello, Angels!

I am back with the newest review - the continuation of the family drama that surrounds The Royals. Yes, the series continue with “Twisted Palace”.

Ella’s biological father has showed up - it turned out that his wife hates him, he has been into a plane crash and his parachute didn’t open on time. Of course, Ella cannot just trust him and take him with his arms wide open. Nonetheless, her father is not so kind and gentle and… cool, even though the Royal boys adore him and he has been a role model for them. On the contrary - he is stoic, selfish, controlling, extremely rich and disgustingly arrogant. He is trying to control every aspect of Ella’s life and no matter how much she doesn’t want to, she is forced to go and live with him. He is her father after all. And like that’s not enough, Ella has to fake her separation with Reed, so her father could not cause problems.

At the same time, Ella and Reed keep being together, to chat and to go out in secret. And Reed is still the main suspect of Brooke’s murder - the deceased girlfriend of Callum Royal.

Now Reed have to find a way to get out of this mess, but there are things that even the money and power of the Royals cannot buy. Reed agrees to a deal that has been offered to him for an early process and to go to jail earlier. Even though, Ella disagrees. It’s even harder for Reed to stop with his violent ways and constant fights that he is used to. It’s good that Ella is there, so she can tame him.

I dare to say that in this book there was more drama, dynamics, intrigues and lies. I definitely didn’t expect most of the moments that kept me in anticipation to turn the next page.

After Ella and Reed continued with their secret relationship behind her father’s back it was about time for the plot twist. Well, we have to have them after all. And of course -as expected, they were at the end of the book.

After Ella’s father forced her to move in with him and his wife, Ella was assigned to the room that the deceased Brook was occupying. While Ella is trying to arrange her stuff she has the tough assignment to try and speak with Daina - her father’s wife and to find any evidence she can for Brooke’s murder and for Daina’s threaths agains Gideon. Now here’s a plot twist - Ella accidentally finds a hidden letter from Reed’s deceased mother to Steve - Ella’s father. A long kept family secret has been revealed that can destroy the whole Royal family and for which Steve is ready to kill not only Brook, but his wife Daina and even his own daughter.

Like I said - there’s drama, so much drama that it’s not easy to be swallowed. But as a third part of the series, I think that the suspense was in almost every page. Well, nobody said that the lives of the rich people is easy. Not even for the Royals.

This time I will not dive into unnecessary details around the story and I will only say that I was quite impressed. And yes, this time Ella and Reed got their happy ending. Reed was proven innocent in the trial because Steve confessed that he is in fact guilty in Brook’s murder, Reed went to college and chose it along with Ella - Ella will go with him there next year. They chose their schedules together and Ella went back to the Royal’s mansion to live with hem. Callum is Ella’s legal guardian and Ella thinks of him as her father. Ella gave part of her trust fund to Daina so Daina could destroy any evidence that she might have against Gideon.

And now after I’ve finished with the three books from the series I am quite anticipated to actually know what would happen next. There’s no way I could find out unless I read the next book.

Like I said, for me the book was the most dynamic and excited from the series (as much as I’ve read so far). The luxurious world with shiny cars, expensive estates and beautiful illusions may be attractive but it doesn’t mean that our characters are sleeping safe and safe. The more possibilities they have, the more power and money they have, the more their feel untouchable and our friend Steve O’Halloran is the exact example of this. Just like every other story - there has to be a villain. But to be honest, I was expecting Daina to be the villain in Ella and Reed’s fairy tale.

The book, just like the whole Royal family really captured me and to be honest I don’t want it to end. Well, if I had a teenage daughter, I definitely wouldn’t give it so effortlessly to her to read, but in any case, the book is easy, fun, and captivating so I would give it 4 /5 golden stars.

I guarantee you that you would not be sorry for this choice, because the Royals would not only capture you, they would destroy you.

I am diving in to the fourth part of this series to see if Ella and Reed’s fairy tale would continue (I am more eager to know if they would finally get married) and I will see you, Angels in the next review!

And you Angels, don’t stop reading and remember: A book a day keeps the reality away!

XoXo, - K.
